Job Summary
Certified Forklift Operators are responsible for safely operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and organize materials within warehouses, yards, or production facilities. This role supports daily operations by ensuring materials are handled efficiently and stored correctly while maintaining a strong focus on safety and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, move, stack, and stage materials
- Transport products and materials to designated locations
- Verify loads are secure and properly positioned before transport
- Assist with material handling, inventory movement, and staging areas
- Inspect forklifts before and after use and report any issues
- Follow all safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and site‑specific rules
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet daily goals
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Assist with other warehouse or production tasks as needed
Requirements
- Valid forklift certification required
- Previous experience operating forklifts preferred
- Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy work environments
- Ability to read basic instructions, labels, and work orders
- Ability to lift materials and work in a physically active role
- Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and teamwork
- Dependable, punctual, and safety‑focused
