Sales Representative – Lumber Sales (Commercial & Residential)

Location: Minot, ND

Pay: $18-25/hour

Position Type: Full-time

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Representative to join our team, specializing in the sale of lumber for commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read blueprints and offer tailored solutions to clients, ensuring their lumber needs are met accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Sell lumber products to commercial and residential customers
Read and interpret blueprints to understand project requirements
Provide expert advice to clients on the selection of appropriate lumber for specific projects
Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
Manage sales inquiries, quotes, and follow-up communications
Ensure accurate and timely processing of orders and deliveries
Stay informed about industry trends, lumber products, and customer needs
Collaborate with the operations and delivery teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment
Maintain a clean and professional appearance and conduct

Qualifications:

Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Previous sales experience, preferably in the construction or lumber industry
Knowledge of lumber products and their applications in both commercial and residential settings
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
