Since the very beginning, HireQuest Direct has been an integral member of the communities we serve—from the in's and out's of every day life to the major events that change the way we live and work.
1998 — Where We Started
Trojan Labor—where HireQuest Direct gets its roots—makes its debut. Spun out of Labor World USA, Trojan Labor specialized in temporary staffing for construction and light industrial companies.
2002 — HireQuest Branding Is Born
HireQuest enters the world as the corporate entity behind Trojan Labor and its sister company Acrux.
2006 — 38 Branches Across 11 States
Trojan Labor begins the year with 38 branches in 11 states: Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.
2007 — Now Operating in Delaware, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.
The Trojan Labor brand builds national momentum, with 41 temporary staffing offices in 13 states across the country.
2008 — Welcome to Texas!
Our newest branch makes a splash in the Lone Star State.
2011 — Keyword: Recovery
We weathered a difficult recession, bouncing back from 2008 and 2009 with 30% growth in 2010. This year, our offices helped local communities recover from a number of disasters, including historic flooding in the Nashville, Tenn., metro area and the devastating Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
2014 — Enter Nevada and Wyoming
We closed 2014 with 43 offices in 17 states across the country, including branches in new-to-us states Nevada and Wyoming.
2016 — Year-long Growth Spurt
After a year-long growth spurt, we toast the end of 2016 with 59 Trojan Labor offices spread across the South, Mid-Atlantic, and the Midwest United States, including new states Arizona and Oklahoma.
2019 — Introducing HireQuest Direct!
Following a merger with Command Center, the Trojan Labor name is retired. It’s replacement: HireQuest Direct. At year-end, there are approximately 140 HireQuest Direct branches in 32 states from coast to coast.
2020 — Proud To Be Essential
HireQuest Direct remains open and keeps folks employed throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. We are proud to be—and employ—essential workers in a number of areas, from manufacturing and logistics to grocery stores, education and government facilities, and environmental services.
Today, we're 128 branches strong across the USA.
