Tire Service and Retread

HireQuest Direct of Minot is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tire Retread Technician to join our team. As a Tire Retread Technician, you will play a crucial role in the retreading process of tires, ensuring they meet quality standards and are ready for reuse. Responsibilities:

1. Tire Inspection: Inspect tires for damage, wear, and any other potential issues that may affect the retreading process.
2. Buffing and Repairing: Operate buffing equipment to remove the worn-out tread from tires and repair any punctures or damages.
3. Retreading Process: Apply new rubber tread to the tire casing using proper adhesion techniques and equipment.
4. Curing: Place the retreaded tire into a curing chamber, monitor the temperature and pressure, and ensure proper curing of the tread.
5. Quality Control: Inspect the finished retreaded tires to ensure they meet quality standards, including tread depth, balance, and appearance.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of the retreading process, including tire identification, specifications, and any repairs or adjustments made.
7. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of retreading equipment to ensure proper functionality and longevity.
8. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

1. Experience: Prior experience in tire retreading or a related mechanical field is preferred. However, we are willing to train the right candidate with a strong mechanical background.
2. Mechanical Skills: Proficiency in using tools and equipment related to tire retreading, including buffing machines, tire presses, and curing chambers.
3. Attention to Detail: Strong observational skills and the ability to identify tire defects, tread irregularities, and other potential issues.
4. Manual Dexterity: Excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to perform precise tasks involved in the retreading process.
5. Physical Fitness: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy tires, and perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.
6. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with a team and follow instructions from supervisors and senior technicians.
