Tool & Die Maker

HireQuest Direct is looking for an experienced Tool & Die Maker in the Minneapolis area. In this position you will be forming dies; semi-permanent dies; and completing layout work. You must also be familiar with short run stamping tooling through progressive dies.

Monday - Friday 

1st Shift - 7am-3:30pm
2nd Shift - 3:30pm-Midnight (training will be done on 1st shift, then move to 2nd shift)

Requirements & Responsibilities:

• Must have 4 years experience as a Tool & Die maker
• Must have a high degree of experience and trade skill and thorough knowledge of machine shop practice
• Plan, design, construct, or repairs a wide variety of intricate and complicated tools, dies, jigs, gauges, fixtures, to close tolerances
• Performs some difficult development work. 
• Construct complex units where design is available
• Select allowances and devises mechanism detail. Does skilled fitting, timing, and adjusting
• Perform difficult tool room machine operations. This includes CAD/KEY, CNC Lathe and other technologies (as these technologies exist or arise) required to perform tool room operations
• Work from complicated drawings and sketches
• Use advanced shop mathematics and all types of precision measuring instruments.
