Machine Setup Operator

HireQuest Direct in Cambridge, MN is hiring for a Machine Set-up Operator in North Branch, MN! In this position you would be responsible for the manufacturing of precision machined components, as well as meeting customer specifications and delivery requirements.

$19.00 - $27.00/hour for 2nd shift

**Hours**

Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-2:30am for 2nd Shift

This shift is full-time with the opportunity to get hired on as a permanent employee with the company, also a $1.00 shift premium once hired on.

Please note the requirements and duties for this position below:

Requirements: 

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 2+ years experience required
  • Must be mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot
  • Experience with Metal Machining/Set-up
  • Experience with screw machines
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • Convert decimals to millimeters and vice versa
  • Convert metric to inch and vice versa
  • Must have knowledge of or the ability to efficiently learn inventory & manufacturing software and Microsoft Excel
  • Metal Stamping experience

Duties:

  • Perform inspections and quality checks to customer's blueprint
  • Make simple adjustments to keep the machine running
  • Prepare machines and reload material
  • Operate more than one machine at a time
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must have close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and the ability to see color
  • Good attitude and work ethic
  • Good attendance
