Material Handler

HireQuest Direct in Cambridge, MN is looking for a Material Handler in Braham, MN. As a material handler you will be working on the shop floor moving, handling and storing materials used to manufacture hydraulic cylinders. You will be responsible for placing incoming materials on storage racks and picking materials according to specific customer orders.

1st Shift - Monday - Friday 7am-3:30pm

$16.00/hr. - $18.50/hr.

Requirements/Qualifications: 

• High school diploma/GED
• Experience using hoists and cranes
• Physically fit with the ability to lift 50+ pounds
• Knowledge of tape measure readings to 1/32"
• Able to conduct work while standing for 10 hours each day
• Must be able to stand, bend, lift, twist, and grip
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work independently

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Load and unload shafting and tubing materials averaging 24ft. in length from delivery trucks, storage areas and production areas
• Verify Bill of Ladings to make sure material quantity and quality standards are met
• Stores and organizes raw materials in assigned locations in the most efficient way possible
• Mark materials with identifying information
• Operate various machinery including hoists and cranes to handle material
• Pick material according to customer orders and pull appropriate materials for each order
