HireQuest Direct in Cambridge, MN is looking for CNC Lathe Operators for 1st shift in Cambridge, MN.

This is a great opportunity for an individual who has experience in setting up/programming CNC machines according to blueprint specifications, and selecting the appropriate fixtures, cutting tools, attachments and materials.

1st Shift - $25.00/hr. - $30.00/hr.

Responsibilities/Requirements: 

• Receive blueprints, set-up sheets and job travelers from the Team Lead and machine part(s) 
• Set up CNC machine according to blueprint specifications 
• Maintain equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements 
• Inspects parts through production and at completion by visual observation and dimensional measurement to ensure products meet specifications
• Loads and unloads tools 
• Change tools and make offset adjustments 
• Handle material appropriately and safely 
• Coordinates tooling with the Team Lead 
• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Able to operate CNC mills and/or lathes. Set up and run quality first part experience is preferred
• Experience interpreting blueprint dimensions and using measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, precision dial gauges)
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be able to stand, bend, twist, grip, and lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
