Cleaning Technician

HireQuest Direct is looking for a Cleaning Technician in Mora, MN. In this position you will ensure cleanliness of the plant, remove oil and debris from floor, eliminate safety hazards and meet unplanned downtime goals. This is a full-time temp-to-hire position!

1st shift | 7am - 3pm | $15.50/hr.

Requirements:

• HS Diploma/GED
• Previous factory experience
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency with cleaning up spills and leaks (ie: oil leaks from presses)
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and asks for clarification, guidance, and assistance when needed
• Problem solver, able to troubleshoot issues independently or escalate when necessary; sense of accountability and sound professional judgement
• Must have experience managing projects
• Must be highly organized and able to work with and direct others
• Must be able to lift 55 pounds to shoulder height on an on-going basis without assistance
• Able to lift 55 pounds above head occasionally
• Push, pull, bend, twist, and stoop on an on-going basis
• Use of miscellaneous hand tools
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

Responsibilities:

• Maintain an excellent attendance record
  
• Recommend productivity improvement to reduce cost and maximize profitability
• Work independently and primarily under self-direction
• Ensure floors stay free of oil and are safe for all people in facility
• Ensure all areas surrounding presses are clean
• Keep front sidewalk clean for employees and visitors
• Keep front lawn free of debris
• Inspect oil vacuums daily and bring malfunctioning ones to Maintenance for repair
• Assist Janitor when requested
