Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable carpenter to join our construction team. The carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and finishing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, building materials, and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other construction materials
- Install structures such as doors, windows, cabinets, drywall, flooring, and trim
- Perform framing, finishing, remodeling, and repair work
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or structures
- Ensure all work meets building codes and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Collaborate with contractors, supervisors, and other construction workers
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Proven experience as a carpenter or similar role
- Strong understanding of carpentry methods and construction procedures
- Ability to read technical documents and blueprints
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
- Good physical condition and stamina
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of carpentry apprenticeship or vocational training
- OSHA safety certification
- Experience in residential and commercial construction
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
