Assistant Manager – Full-Time
We are looking for a motivated, dependable Assistant Manager who can help lead the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced staffing branch. This is a hands-on supervisory role for someone who is comfortable working with employees, customers, recruiting, dispatch, payroll, billing, and everything in between.
The right person will be organized, able to shift priorities quickly, and willing to jump in wherever needed to keep the branch running smoothly.
Position Summary
The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the leadership and daily operations of the branch while maintaining strong communication with Business Development and branch leadership. This position supervises branch staff, supports recruiting and staffing efforts, handles customer and Field Team Member (FTM) issues, and helps ensure company policies and procedures are consistently followed.
This is not a desk-only position. The Assistant Manager is expected to be actively involved in recruiting, customer relationships, dispatch, payouts, collections, and overall branch success.

Full-time position
Must have flexible availability based on branch and customer needs.
Shifts may include an early shift such as 4:30 AM – 2:00 PM or a later shift such as 10:00 AM – close.
Weekend availability may be required based on business needs.
Staffing is fast-paced and our customers operate on different schedules, so flexibility and dependability are extremely important in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Help oversee the daily operations of the branch and ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
Perform all responsibilities of the Office Administrator and Recruiter when needed.
Train, coach, and support new branch employees.
Dispatch Field Team Members (FTMs) to customer job sites.
Handle FTM concerns, attendance issues, and job-site situations.
Work closely with Business Development to resolve customer staffing needs and service issues.
Recruit, interview, onboard, and maintain a strong pool of available FTMs.
Oversee and participate in recruiting for all branch staffing needs.
Complete a minimum of 50 off-site recruiting visits per week.
Participate in job fairs, recruiting events, and branch events.
Perform daily and weekly FTM payouts and assign pay cards.
Complete dispatch and payout responsibilities and send required daily communications.
Ensure customer accounts are accurately entered and maintained in HQ, including customer agreements, current rate agreements, credit reports, and other required documentation.
Complete 1/7/30 customer calls — introduction within the first day, follow-up within seven days, and service call within 30 days for all new accounts.
Make customer service calls, build customer relationships through visits, and resolve escalated issues in a timely manner.
Ensure all customer and FTM communication is properly documented in HQ.
Complete and submit branch billing/invoicing by close of business Tuesday.
Ensure Certified Payroll is completed accurately and on time each week.
Conduct Accounts Receivable collection calls and assist with resolving outstanding balances.
Submit billing adjustments to the Director of Operations for approval when necessary.
Handle FTM unemployment claims in a timely manner and according to company policy.
Conduct Workers’ Compensation investigations and handle claims according to company policy.
Schedule and complete timely two-week reviews for supervised personnel.
Assist with weekend coverage and branch needs when necessary.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
Requirements
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
2+ years of general work experience.
1+ year of professional sales and/or customer service experience.
1+ year of supervisory or leadership experience.
Previous staffing industry experience is a plus.
Must be able to pass required background screening and drug screening.
Reliable transportation and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Must have the flexibility to work early mornings, later shifts, and weekends when needed.
