Full-time Mobile Technician – Fire Trucks & Vehicles

Location: Minot, ND

Pay: $25/hour

Position Type: Full-time

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Mobile Technician to perform tests, diagnostics, and basic repairs on fire trucks and other vehicles. The ideal candidate will have basic mechanic knowledge and be comfortable spending a significant portion of their time traveling out of town (2-3 days per week). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and has experience in vehicle maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine testing, diagnostics, and inspections on fire trucks and various other vehicles
Conduct basic repairs and maintenance, including engine, brake, and electrical system work
Troubleshoot and identify mechanical issues with fire trucks and other vehicles
Travel out of town 2-3 days per week to service client vehicles at their locations
Maintain accurate records of all work performed
Communicate with customers regarding repairs, status updates, and recommendations
Ensure that all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
Maintain and care for company tools and equipment

Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics (previous experience working on fire trucks is a plus)
Ability to perform basic repairs and diagnostics on various vehicle systems (engine, electrical, brakes, etc.)
Willingness to travel and work outside of town (2-3 days a week)
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
