Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration units and air conditioning systems. This position requires a strong understanding of schematics and the ability to troubleshoot various equipment issues. The Refrigeration Technician will also perform property maintenance tasks as needed, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems and air conditioning units.
Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics on refrigeration equipment.
Utilize tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical components and ensure proper functionality.
Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
Perform property maintenance tasks related to refrigeration systems.
Plumb new installations as required for optimal system performance.
Drive a company van to various job sites for service calls and installations.
Collaborate with other service technicians to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and air conditioning units.
Familiarity with electrical testing equipment, including ohmmeters.
Ability to read and understand technical schematics and blueprints.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Certification in HVAC or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
