Shipping Clerk Assistant

HireQuest Direct in Cambridge, MN is looking for a Shipping Clerk Assistant in Rogers, MN. You will be the backup for the shipping manager.

1st shift 6am-3pm with some flexibility

Requirements: 

• Must have forklift experience 
• Must be good with computers and comfortable calling customers and freight brokers to schedule loads
• Must have a clean background
• Must be willing to come in early, stay late or work weekends if needed
• Must be able to keep accurate records
• Must have experience in or willingness to learn MS Office
• Must be able to enter data into ERM software (e.g., Globalshop, IQMS)
• Must be able to effectively communicate, both verbally and written, with coworkers and managers
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. several times per shift
• Able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and crouch throughout the shift  

Job Duties: 

• Load and unload trucks according to daily schedule from Shipping Clerk and/or Receiving Clerk
• Accurately read and understand the production and shipping schedules
• Collect the production paperwork from the production floor for load accuracy and error checking
• Keep the warehouses and trailers organized, swept, and clean at all times
• Schedule load pick up and work with dispatchers to best rate possible Keep records of Freight companies 
• Inventory of Finished goods materials daily to ensure accuracy with production paperwork
• Communicate in the production meetings of AEI local runs, shipping scheduling and any issues in regards to getting shipments out on time
• Work with the Grinding room lead to move material from the production floor to the lower warehouse and grinding areas
• Communicate directly with the Scheduler and Operations Manager with any issues involving either Freight issues (e.g. deliveries and pickups) or Production issues (e.g. orders not completed and paperwork errors
