Hard Coating

Cambridge, MN HireQuest Direct is looking for Hard Coating in Ramsey, MN. In this position you will prepare, inspect, and clean lenses for Hard Coating in the Optical industry.

$18.47/hr.

Tuesday - Saturday 6am-2:30pm

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Ensure lenses are clean of dust and debris
• Inspection, sorting, washing, and prepping lenses for Hard Coating
• Use MR-III machine for backside coating lenses with primer coating
• Set up lenses into racks, feed racks into Hard Coat Dipping Machine
• Visually inspect lenses after Hard Coating
• Use oven to cure coating
• Use stripping machine to strip lens coatings or coating from racks
• Reject bad coating on lenses

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED

Experience/Knowledge/Abilities: 

• Must have experience in the Optical industry as it relates to ophthalmic lenses
• Basic math skills
• Must be able to work overtime, Saturdays and Sundays and some holidays when needed
• Good hand to eye coordination
• Able to read and write English well
• Must be able to stand and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel
• Must be able to reach with hands and arms
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
• Must have close vision and ability to adjust focus
