Hard Coat Technician

HireQuest Direct in Cambridge, MN is looking for a Hard Coat Technician in Ramsey, MN. In this position you will  prepare, inspect, and clean lenses for Hard Coating in the Optical industry.

 $18.47/hr.

**Hours**
2nd Shift - 2pm -10:30pm (Monday-Friday)

Requirements:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Must have experience in the Optical Industry as it relates to ophthalmic lenses
• Basic math skills
• Must be able to work overtime, Saturdays & Sundays and some holidays when needed
• Good hand to eye coordination
• Able to read and write English language well
• Able to memorize large amounts of data accurately
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
• Close vision and ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to stand and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel

Responsibilities:

• Ensure lenses are clean of dust and debris
• Inspect, sort, wash, and prep lenses for Hard Coating
• Use MR-III machine for backside coating lenses with primer coating
• Set up lenses into racks, feed racks into Hard Coat Dipping Machine
• Visual inspection of the lenses after Hard Coating
• Use oven to cure coating
• Use stripping machine to strip lens coatings or coating from racks
• Help routing work in the AR-Preparation room
