Job Overview
We are currently seeking reliable and safety-conscious Traffic Flaggers to support roadway, utility, and construction projects throughout the Greater Tampa Bay Area. Traffic Flaggers play a critical role in maintaining the safety of workers, motorists, and pedestrians by directing traffic through construction and work zones.
This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, can remain alert in a fast-paced environment, and understand the importance of safety on active job sites.
Responsibilities
Direct and control vehicle and pedestrian traffic through work zones.
Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices, including signs, cones, barrels, and barricades.
Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors regarding traffic conditions and site safety.
Monitor traffic flow and respond appropriately to changing conditions.
Follow all company safety procedures and traffic control regulations.
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with the public.
Assist with general labor duties when traffic control responsibilities permit.
Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately.
Qualifications
Previous flagging or construction experience preferred but not required.
Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Reliable transportation to job sites throughout the Tampa Bay area.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional overtime.
Preferred Qualifications
Current Traffic Flagger Certification.
MOT (Maintenance of Traffic) experience.
OSHA 10 Certification.
Experience working on roadway, utility, or construction projects.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Ability to work safely near moving traffic and active construction zones.
