Job Description
Installation Technician – VAPR2 Fleet Vehicle Systems
HireQuest is currently seeking 15 experienced Installation Technicians to install VAPR2 systems on commercial fleet vehicles.
This is a hands-on technician position requiring strong knowledge of hand tools, mechanical/electrical installation practices, and the ability to follow detailed installation procedures. This is not a general labor position. Candidates should have prior experience performing equipment, automotive, fleet, low-voltage, electronics, or similar technical installations.
Responsibilities
Install VAPR2 systems on commercial fleet vehicles according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Use hand tools and installation equipment safely and effectively.
Perform precise mounting, routing, fastening, and component installation.
Follow wiring, connection, and installation instructions accurately.
Inspect completed installations to ensure proper fit, function, and workmanship.
Maintain required quality standards throughout the installation process.
Follow all company, customer, and job-site safety requirements.
Identify and report installation issues, damaged components, or equipment concerns.
Keep tools, equipment, and work areas organized and safe.
Complete installations efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
Qualifications
Previous hands-on technician or installation experience required.
Strong knowledge and practical experience using hand tools.
Comfortable working on commercial fleet vehicles and performing hands-on installations.
Ability to read and follow technical instructions, diagrams, and SOPs.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, safety-conscious, and quality-focused.
Must be able to work in a physically demanding, hands-on environment.
Preferred Experience
Experience in any of the following is a plus:
Automotive or fleet vehicle installation
Fleet telematics or GPS installation
Low-voltage/electrical installation
Vehicle electronics
Equipment installation
Mobile electronics
Automotive accessory installation
Mechanical or maintenance technician work
Important Candidate Requirement
