# Carpenter – Day Shift – Starting at $24.00/Hour
**Pay:** Starting at $24.00 per hour, based on experience
**Schedule:** Monday-Friday, Day Shift. Start time varies by project. Overtime may be available based on workload. Occasional weekends may be required.
HireQuest Direct is hiring a temporary Carpenter for projects in Davenport, FL, and the surrounding areas, including Haines City, ChampionsGate, Loughman, Lake Hamilton, Auburndale, Winter Haven, and throughout Polk County. If you have carpentry experience and take pride in quality workmanship, we’d love to hear from you.
**Duties:**
* Measure, cut, and install wood and other building materials.
* Build, repair, and install walls, floors, doors, and framing.
* Read and follow basic blueprints and work instructions.
* Use hand tools and power tools safely.
* Keep the work area clean and organized.
* Work with the crew to complete projects on schedule.
* Follow all job site safety rules.
**Requirements:**
* Previous carpentry experience required.
* Ability to read a tape measure and use common carpentry tools.
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties.
* Ability to work outdoors and indoors in varying conditions.
* Steel-toe boots and appropriate work clothing required.
* Must follow all job site safety procedures.
