Job Title: On-Call Event Setup & Operations Crew
Location: Various locations (Venues, convention centers, outdoor spaces, and private sites)
Pay Rate: $10-$14/hr (Varies by assignment, shift time, and location)
Job Type: Temporary / On-Call / Part-Time
About the Role
We are looking for hardworking, punctual, and physically active On-Call Event Setup Staff to join our team. In this role, you will handle the hands-on labor needed to transform empty venues into fully operational event spaces for weddings, trade shows, corporate events, and festivals.
This is a flexible, on-call position with variable shifts (early mornings, late nights, and weekends) across different venue locations throughout the area.
Key Responsibilities
Load-In & Unloading: Safely unload equipment, decor, staging, and furniture from transport trucks to the event site.
Assembly & Setup: Position and assemble tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, pop-up tents, pipe and drape, and lighting/AV rigs according to site plans.
Tear-Down & Load-Out: Efficiently dismantle equipment, pack items securely, and reload trucks following event completion.
Site Maintenance: Keep setup areas organized and safe; sweep and clean up debris post-setup and post-event.
Requirements & Qualifications
Reliable Transportation: Must have a dependable personal vehicle or reliable transportation to reach various event locations throughout the area.
Background Check: Must be able to pass a clean background check prior to assignment.
Drug Screening: Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
Physical Capability: Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and stand/walk for extended periods.
Flexibility: Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays on short notice.
Teamwork & Safety: Ability to follow direction, work safely with basic hand tools, and cooperate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Appearance: Dress in practical crew attire (typically sturdy closed-toe shoes/boots, dark work pants, and plain dark t-shirts).
