Kitchen Porter – Circuit of the Americas
Location: Circuit of the Americas – Austin, TX
Position: Kitchen Porter
Event: High-Profile Catering Event Featuring Gordon Ramsay
We are hiring Kitchen Porters to support a high-volume kitchen and catering operation at Circuit of the Americas in Austin. This is a back-of-house support position focused primarily on dishwashing, cleaning, polishing glassware, and keeping kitchen service supplies fully stocked.
Responsibilities
Wash and sanitize dishes, plates, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
Polish and prepare glassware for service
Replenish cutlery, crockery, plates, and other service items throughout the event
Transport clean dishes, glassware, and service items to designated kitchen and service areas
Keep dishwashing and kitchen areas clean, organized, and sanitary
Maintain adequate stock levels across the various kitchen areas
Assist with clearing and organizing used kitchen equipment and service items
Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
Support the kitchen and service teams with general back-of-house duties as needed
Important: No Cooking or Food Preparation
This role is not a cooking or food preparation position.
Kitchen Porters will primarily be responsible for:
Dishwashing
Glassware polishing
Cleaning and sanitation
Replenishing cutlery and crockery
Moving and organizing kitchen/service equipment
General kitchen support
Physical Requirements
This is a physically active position. Team members should be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods, lifting and carrying kitchen items, and working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Uniform
Team members should wear:
All black clothing
Black or dark top
Black jeans or black pants
Closed-toe shoes
Qualifications
Previous kitchen, dishwashing, catering, hospitality, or restaurant experience preferred
Reliable and punctual
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Able to work effectively as part of a team
Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
Able to stand and work on your feet for extended periods
Professional attitude and dependable work ethic
