Machine operator-Plastic Bottle

Snelling Staffing Company of Griffith, IN is hiring a Machine Operator for a company in Merrillville, IN to operate machines used to produce plastic bottle products according to customer specifications.
Job Responsibilities:
>Experience operating, maintaining, repairing, or installing plastics injection molding machines.
>Operate machine with safety as top priority
>Check to see if machine is properly running and monitor operations down the line.
>Confirm the right materials, color, and the settings on the blender.
>Log all machine adjustments
>Keep equipment running by clearing all jams, monitor equipment and materials, check production quality.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

>Ability to perform basic math skills, including: addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication
>Must be able to effectively read and understand a tape measure
>Ability to work flexible hours including overtime as needed
>Must have 1-2 years machine operating experience in a heavy/ fast paced industrial environment

Preferences:
>Previous experience with plastic bottle mold machines is a plus.
