Shop Foreman

Job Description

We are looking for a level IV Shop Foreman that will be responsible for maintaining workflow and work distribution among technicians. This role works closely with the Operations Manager to oversee the quality of work on customer-owned inventory and shop efficiency

Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with Operations Manager to create refurbishment and assembly goals on daily and weekly basis

· Distribute work orders to technicians and ensure work is completed correctly by auditing submitted paperwork and cross-referencing with physical parts

· Responsible for ensuring team meets company expectations regarding work schedule and proactively communicating to Operations Manager regarding any issues

· Manage and oversee individual technician workload distribution and overall workflow in the service area to ensure that the team is properly supported and correctly utilized

· Offers guidance to employees on operational matters such as processes, company policies, guidelines and expectations

· Responsible for conducting weekly Safety meetings with the team and providing documentation to the appropriate personnel

· Responsible for the management of refurbishment in company CRM system which includes ensuring that the following dashboards are correctly updated and maintained: refurbishment, return, and issue reporting

· Responsible for guaranteeing both customer and company inventory (both new & refurbished) follows proper systematic workflow and transactions in NetSuite

· Responsible for the logistics and scheduling of 3rd party delivery service companies to ensure timely pickup and delivery to clients and ensuring all invoices are properly executed, documented and stored correctly

· Responsible for the maintenance of all shop equipment such as sandblaster, torque machine, cutter insert machine, and snow plow (if necessary)

· Other general duties that may be assigned by the Operations Manager


Qualifications

· A High School degree or equivalent is required

· 2+ years of related work experience, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment

· 2+ previous of supervisory experience required

· Strong oral and written communication skills

· Fork-lift and telehandler experience preferred

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· General computer skills and math skills necessary

· Must be flexible and able to adapt to frequent changes, delays and unexpected events

· Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required

· Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen

· Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage own time effectively

· Knows and applies basic concepts and techniques of the role

· Able to work on projects outside of day-to-day operations

· Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen

· Current driver's license and acceptable driving record (2 or fewer moving violations in the past 3 years and no DWI/DUI in the past 5 years)

· Ability to lead in a team environment

· Ability to coach/mentor within the extended team

· Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and external clients and vendors

· Ability to use a computer, applications and internet functions

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

· Ability and willingness to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs., walk, climb, reach, kneel, crawl, and balance

· Work for up to 10 hours in elements such as hot/cold warehouse/shop environment

· Must be able to use hands for assembly and tool usage

· Exposure to noise and warehouse elements

· Safeguard self with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – safety-toed shoes, safety apparel, eye protection (glasses, goggles, and/or facemask) as necessary for task
