- Use Xactimate software to estimate residential and commercial water, fire, wind and mold restoration projects.
- Coordinate estimates and communicate with subcontractors.
- Create accurate and profitable job estimates.
- Prepare written proposals.
- Obtain bids from subcontractors.
- Completed estimates will be forwarded to the customer within one (1) business day of the property inspection.
- Communicate with customers; make sure they are constantly informed of their project status.
- Maintain project files.
- Build and maintain relationships with claims adjusters and contractors.
- Follow up on estimates sent to homeowners.
- Negotiate with insurance adjusters.
- Maintain regular communication with all accounts receivable
- Uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Certification in Xactimate or equivalent estimating software is highly desirable.
- Proficient in restoration estimating software (e.g., Xactimate, Symbility).
- Knowledge of construction and restoration processes, including water, fire, and mold damage restoration.
- Familiarity with insurance claims and industry standards, including IICRC guidelines.
- Ability to assess property damage accurately and develop detailed restoration scopes.
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, adjusters, and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Experience in negotiating with insurance adjusters.
- Certifications such as IICRC, OSHA 10/30, or related restoration industry credentials.
