Estimator for Water and Fire Restoration

  • Use Xactimate software to estimate residential and commercial water, fire, wind and mold restoration projects.
  • Coordinate estimates and communicate with subcontractors.
  • Create accurate and profitable job estimates.
  • Prepare written proposals.
  • Obtain bids from subcontractors.
  • Completed estimates will be forwarded to the customer within one (1) business day of the property inspection.
  • Communicate with customers; make sure they are constantly informed of their project status.
  • Maintain project files.
  • Build and maintain relationships with claims adjusters and contractors.
  • Follow up on estimates sent to homeowners.
  • Negotiate with insurance adjusters.
  • Maintain regular communication with all accounts receivable
  • Uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct



  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Certification in Xactimate or equivalent estimating software is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in restoration estimating software (e.g., Xactimate, Symbility).
  • Knowledge of construction and restoration processes, including water, fire, and mold damage restoration.
  • Familiarity with insurance claims and industry standards, including IICRC guidelines.
  • Ability to assess property damage accurately and develop detailed restoration scopes.
  • Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, adjusters, and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience in negotiating with insurance adjusters.
  • Certifications such as IICRC, OSHA 10/30, or related restoration industry credentials.
