Maintenance Mechanic/Technician

Assist in carrying out ongoing preventative maintenance programs.

Review work order priorities daily and ensure that they are serviced each day.

Assist in short-term and long-term facilities maintenance projects.

Assist in the general maintenance and upkeep of the building, plumbing, electrical, structural, grounds, and equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to the cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. PPE is provided for hazardous tasks.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb, balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision and depth perception.

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Minimum 1 year of facilities maintenance (or related) experience required.

Proficient in using hand, power, shop, and diagnostic tools.

Skilled in electrical power/controls, mechanical and fluid handling systems.

Trade or Technical school certification, preferred.

Forklift experience preferred.

Flexibility to work evenings.

Experience with painting, construction, and plumbing

Must be a self-starter and organized, with a positive attitude, able to work independently and as a team.

Has a flexible schedule and weekend availability.

Willing to travel short distances for materials pickup/purchasing

Possess a safety-oriented mindset.
