Surface Tech

Maintains surface equipment working, clears errors from equipment, and ensures cleanliness and proper operation of assigned equipment. Maintains assigned equipment operational. Clears errors from equipment and restarts equipment. Ensures equipment has all necessary consumables loaded for operation (alloy, blocks, pads, polish, etc.). Ensures equipment is kept clean during the shift. Takes part in scheduled equipment clean up. Informs management of equipment malfunction, and quality/ equipment issues. Keeps area clean. Help in other areas when needed. Helps with light calibration, setup, and maintenance operations. Records data accurately from the equipment of process as requested by management. Cross-trains on tasks from other areas of the lab.

High School Diploma or GED. Able and willing to work as a team. Must be able to work Overtime, Saturdays and Sundays, and some holidays, when needed. Able to read and write English Language well. Able to memorize large amounts of data accurately. Computer skills (Windows, MS Office). Experience or knowledge working with automated equipment. Has great attendance/punctuality: Is consistently at work and on time. Regularly required to stand, and use hands to manipulate. Frequently required reach with hands and arms. Regularly lifts and/or moves up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.Requires clean background and drug screening
