Position Overview:

HireQuest Direct is seeking experienced and dependable CDL Class A Bottom Dump Drivers to support our construction and aggregate hauling clients. This position is ideal for safety-conscious professionals who enjoy working in the construction industry and take pride in delivering materials efficiently and on time.

As a Bottom Dump Driver, you’ll transport sand, gravel, rock, asphalt, and other construction materials to job sites while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service.

Responsibilities:

•Safely operate a Class A commercial truck with a bottom dump trailer.
•Haul aggregate, sand, gravel, asphalt, dirt, and other construction materials to designated job sites.
•Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete all required DOT documentation.
•Safely operate trailer gates and dumping equipment while maintaining proper load control.
•Ensure loads comply with weight limits and securement requirements.
•Follow dispatch instructions and maintain delivery schedules.
•Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELDs), inspection reports, and delivery documentation.
•Report equipment issues, accidents, or safety concerns immediately.
•Maintain a clean and professional appearance of assigned equipment.
•Comply with all DOT, OSHA, state, local, and company safety regulations.
•Work safely around heavy equipment and active construction zones.

Qualifications:

•Valid CDL Class A driver’s license.
•Current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
•Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
•Minimum one year of CDL driving experience preferred, but not required.
•Previous bottom dump, end dump, side dump, belly dump, or aggregate hauling experience is highly preferred.
•Ability to safely navigate construction sites and varying road conditions.
•Strong communication and time management skills.
•Dependable attendance and commitment to workplace safety.

Physical Requirements:

•Ability to climb into and out of truck cabs multiple times daily.
•Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
•Perform vehicle inspections, including bending, kneeling, and reaching.
•Sit for extended periods while operating commercial vehicles.
•Work outdoors in changing weather conditions
