Extruder Operator
OVERVIEW
Our client in Upper Chichester, PA is seeking an Extruder Operator with mechanical skills to start as soon as possible. The Extruder Operator will provide technical and operational support to production operations and will work with team members to fabricate plastic rods, sheets and precision tubing.
SCHEDULE
There is a rotating schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3-4 days per week.
- 4 days on, 3 days off: Sun-Wed, 7AM-7PM
- 3 days on, 4 days off: Thurs-Sat, 7AM-7PM
- 4 nights on, 3 nights off: Sun-Wed, 7PM-7AM
- 3 nights on, 4 nights off: Thurs-Sat, 7PM-7AM
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Sets up and operates all production equipment including Extrusion Machine
- Cleans and maintains all tooling; changes tooling based on work orders
- Changes tooling for production based on production schedule
- Uses calipers and micrometers to perform inspections and ensure quality standards
- Labels finished product
- Gathers all raw materials needed for jobs
- Removes finished product from end of extrusion machines
- Operates forklift to allocate materials
- Completes daily logs
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to do basic mathematical conversions
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Must be able to operate a forklift
