Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction/industrial team. In this role, you will operate a variety of heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, and other specialized equipment to perform tasks related to site preparation, grading, trenching, material movement, and other construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
•Operate heavy equipment efficiently and safely in accordance with project specifications and safety protocols
•Perform pre-operation inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns
•Follow project plans, blueprints, or instructions from supervisors to complete work accurately
•Load and unload materials, dig trenches, backfill excavations, grade surfaces, and perform other earthmoving tasks
•Maintain a clean and safe job site and assist with general labor duties as needed
•Ensure equipment is stored properly and secured at the end of each shift
•Work in coordination with site supervisors, laborers, and other operators to complete projects on time
•Adhere to all OSHA, site-specific, and company safety standards and procedures
