Job Description
Position Summary:
The Wide Format Production Specialist is responsible for producing high-quality large-format graphics, signage, and display materials using digital printing, cutting, and finishing equipment. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with wide-format printers, laminators, cutters, and mounting/installation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
-Operate and maintain wide-format printers (HP Latex, Mimaki, Roland, etc.) and finishing equipment (laminators, cutters, plotters).
-Prepare print files, color match, and ensure proper resolution and scaling.
-Perform daily printer maintenance and troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
-Trim, mount, laminate, and assemble printed materials for signage, vehicle wraps, wall graphics, banners, and displays.
-Inspect all output for color consistency, accuracy, and quality before delivery.
-Maintain production schedules and deadlines to ensure timely completion of jobs.
-Collaborate with design and installation teams to ensure project specifications are met.
-Organize inventory of substrates, media, inks, and supplies.
-Uphold safety and cleanliness standards in the production area.
Qualifications:
-Minimum 2 years of experience in wide-format or sign production preferred.
-Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and RIP software (Onyx, Flexi, VersaWorks, etc.).
-Knowledge of different substrates, materials, and finishing techniques.
-Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
-Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
-Experience with installation of vinyl, graphics, or signage.
-Familiarity with color management and ICC profiling.
-Experience working in a print/sign shop environment.
Job Type: Full-time 8:30am-5pm (30 min lunch)
