Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction, the ability to work independently or as part of a crew, and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship. This role requires proficiency in a wide range of carpentry tasks and the ability to complete projects efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform all phases of carpentry including framing, trim, finishing, and installation
Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials according to specifications
Install structures and fixtures such as doors, windows, cabinets, and molding
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans
Ensure work is level, square, and meets quality standards
Maintain a clean and safe job site
Collaborate with supervisors and other trades as needed
Follow all safety guidelines and building codes
Requirements:
Proven experience as a carpenter (3+ years preferred)
Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Must have own tools necessary to perform job duties
Must have reliable transportation to travel to various job sites
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and workmanship
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in residential and/or commercial construction
Familiarity with power tools and advanced carpentry equipment
OSHA certification or safety training
Valid driver’s license
Work Environment:
Job sites may include indoor and outdoor environments
Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and construction materials
May require early mornings, weekends, or overtime depending on project needs
