Job Description
The Warehouse Picker is responsible for locating, picking, preparing, and organizing insulation materials and other warehouse products for customer orders and deliveries. This position requires attention to detail, physical ability, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
Pick insulation materials and other products based on customer orders.
Verify product type, quantity, and order information before pulling materials.
Move and organize insulation materials throughout the warehouse.
Prepare orders for shipment or delivery.
Load and unload materials safely.
Use hand trucks, carts, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
Keep the warehouse and work areas clean and organized.
Inspect materials for visible damage before orders are shipped.
Label and stage completed orders in the correct location.
Assist with receiving and putting away incoming materials.
Follow all company safety rules and procedures.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Report damaged products, missing materials, or safety concerns to a supervisor.
Work with warehouse team members to complete daily orders and meet productivity goals.
Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to read and follow basic instructions.
Good attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable and dependable.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
Physical Requirements
Regularly lift and move insulation materials and warehouse products.
Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and climb as needed.
Ability to work around dust and insulation materials while using required PPE.
Must be able to safely handle materials throughout the workday.
Work Environment
This position is performed in a warehouse environment and may involve exposure to dust, insulation fibers, noise, varying temperatures, and heavy materials. Proper PPE and safety procedures must be followed at all times.
