Job Description
Position Summary
The Warehouse Packer is responsible for safely and accurately packing insulation materials and other warehouse products for customer orders and delivery. This position requires attention to detail, physical ability, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
Pack insulation materials and other products according to customer orders.
Verify product type, quantity, and order information before packing.
Inspect materials for visible damage before packaging.
Properly package and protect materials to prevent damage during handling and transportation.
Label and organize completed orders for shipment or delivery.
Move packed orders to the appropriate staging or loading area.
Assist with loading and unloading materials when needed.
Keep packing areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Use packing materials and warehouse equipment safely.
Follow all company safety rules and procedures.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Report damaged products, missing materials, or safety concerns to a supervisor.
Work with Pickers and other warehouse team members to complete orders on time.
Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Previous warehouse or packing experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to read and follow basic instructions.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable and dependable.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
Physical Requirements
Regularly lift and move insulation materials and packed products.
Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and climb as needed.
Ability to work around dust and insulation materials while using required PPE.
Must be able to safely handle materials throughout the workday.
Work Environment
This position is performed in a warehouse environment and may involve exposure to dust, insulation fibers, noise, varying temperatures, and heavy materials. Proper PPE and safety procedures must be followed at all times.
