Job Description
Position Summary
The Installation Technician installs VAPR2 systems on commercial fleet vehicles. The technician will follow company procedures, safety rules, and quality standards while completing installations efficiently.
This is a hands-on temporary assignment that requires basic mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The position reports to the Site Leader.
Key Responsibilities
Install VAPR2 systems on fleet vehicles according to company instructions.
Follow all installation, quality, and safety procedures.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and correctly.
Complete installations within expected production times.
Check your work to make sure installations are completed correctly.
Identify and report any installation problems or damaged parts.
Make repairs or corrections when needed.
Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE.
Keep the work area clean and organized.
Report safety concerns, accidents, or near misses immediately.
Gather and verify parts and materials before starting installations.
Handle parts carefully to prevent damage or loss.
Assist with basic inventory and material organization.
Perform basic vehicle checks before installation.
Report vehicles that are not ready for installation to the Site Leader.
Document completed work using company digital tools.
Take required photos and record vehicle information, including VINs.
Work well with other technicians to meet daily production goals.
Help train or assist new technicians when needed.
Follow updated procedures and provide suggestions for improving the installation process.
Required Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in automotive, mechanical, or installation work.
Basic mechanical knowledge.
Comfortable using hand and power tools.
Able to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
Strong attention to detail.
Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Experience
Experience installing or modifying equipment on vehicles.
Experience with vehicle retrofits or fleet installations.
Experience working in a production or assembly environment.
Experience using digital tools for reporting or tracking work.
Basic electrical or mechanical troubleshooting experience.
Project Requirements
Must be able to communicate effectively in English during work.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must follow all safety requirements and immediately report unsafe conditions.
Must be dependable, punctual, and able to follow company procedures.
Must meet expected quality and performance standards.
