Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our team. This role is responsible for placing, smoothing, and finishing concrete surfaces on a variety of projects, including sidewalks, driveways, foundations, and floors. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of concrete techniques and takes pride in producing high-quality, durable work.
Key Responsibilities:
Set forms and ensure proper alignment and grade
Pour, spread, and level concrete using rakes, shovels, and screeds
Smooth and finish surfaces using hand and power tools (trowels, floats, edgers)
Apply finishing techniques such as brooming, polishing, or stamping
Cut expansion joints and monitor curing process
Repair and resurface damaged concrete as needed
Ensure proper thickness, strength, and finish of concrete work
Maintain tools and equipment in good condition
Follow blueprints, specifications, and supervisor instructions
Adhere to all safety standards and job site procedures
Requirements:
Proven experience as a concrete finisher (2+ years preferred)
Knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques
Ability to use hand tools and power finishing equipment
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
Physical stamina and ability to work in demanding conditions
Ability to lift 50–80 lbs and perform repetitive motions
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
Understanding of safety practices on construction sites
Work Environment:
Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
Physically demanding tasks including bending, kneeling, and lifting
Early mornings, long hours, and overtime may be required
