Position: Plumber
Shift: Varies
Location: Roanoke and around the Roanoke area
Pay: $18/hr
Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Plumber to perform installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and light–industrial environments. The ideal candidate has hands–on experience, understands basic plumbing codes, and can safely operate common plumbing tools.
Key Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and plumbing systems
Troubleshoot leaks, clogs, pressure issues, and equipment failures
Cut, assemble, and install copper, PVC, and other piping materials
Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and work instructions
Perform routine inspections and identify potential issues
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Communicate job status and needs to supervisors or customers
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Required Skills & Experience
Basic plumbing knowledge (residential or commercial)
Ability to measure, cut, and fit piping accurately
Experience with or knowledge of the following tools:
Copper pipe cutter (2″)
Sawzall (reciprocating saw)
Standard level
Impact drill
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in tight spaces when needed
Strong problem–solving skills and attention to detail
Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
Preferred Qualifications
1+ year of plumbing experience
Ability to solder copper pipe
Experience with PVC, PEX, and drain systems
Basic understanding of local plumbing codes
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Work Environment
Indoor and outdoor job sites
Standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting throughout the shift
Use of power tools and hand tools daily
