Cook – Plant City, FL
We are currently seeking motivated and dependable Cooks to join a growing food service company in the Plant City area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced food production environment and are looking to grow with an expanding team.
This position is located in a temperature-controlled warehouse maintained at approximately 38 degrees. Candidates must be comfortable working in cooler conditions for extended periods and be able to maintain productivity throughout their shift.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook food products according to company recipes and quality standards.
Measure, portion, and assemble ingredients for food production.
Monitor cooking times, temperatures, and food quality to ensure consistency and safety.
Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
Assist with packaging, labeling, and staging products as needed.
Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals.
Perform general kitchen and food production duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment (38°F) for long periods of time.
Must be willing and able to work long hours, including overtime when required.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and safely move food products and supplies.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety.
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance are required.
Previous cooking, food production, or commercial kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
