Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Janitor to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and overall upkeep of facilities. The ideal candidate will have prior cleaning experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting all assigned areas
Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, and high-touch surfaces to maintain hygiene standards
Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly
Clean windows, mirrors, walls, and other surfaces as needed
Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper
Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or reporting larger repair needs
Operate cleaning equipment (floor buffers, vacuums, etc.) and maintain tools in good condition
Follow all safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
Ensure the facility is secure (lock doors, check areas) after cleaning shifts
Qualifications:
Previous janitorial or custodial experience required
Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and chemicals
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Physically able to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks
Preferred Skills:
Time management and reliability
Basic maintenance knowledge
Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
