Job Summary
As a Seed Conditioning Worker, you will assist with the seed conditioning process to help ensure a clean, high-quality finished product. Conditioning involves using machinery to sort seeds while team members remove unwanted material such as pods, stems, split or diseased seeds, dirt, corn, and weed seeds before the product is bagged.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform forklift inspections in preparation for the day shift.
- Take seed samples and analyze them every 30 minutes.
- Assist other employees with cleaning bins between seed varieties.
- Follow all confined space guidelines.
- Clean equipment thoroughly between varieties.
- Clean floors using air wands, brooms, and shop vacuums once or twice per shift.
- Perform general warehouse cleaning as needed throughout the shift.
- Help maintain a clean and organized work area
