Job Description
HireQuest Direct is seeking a Skilled Carpenter to join our team. If you’re passionate about construction, thrive in a collaborative environment, and have a strong attention to detail, we want to hear from you!
Note: This position will last for the duration of the project and is considered temporary. Once the job site ends, other work will be available. This is a long term assignment
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a wide range of carpentry duties including framing, finish work, repairs, installations, and general construction tasks
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
Coordinate daily work activities and maintain productivity on job sites
Assist with planning, organizing, and leading crews as project needs expand
Work alongside team members and other trades to keep projects on schedule
Identify and communicate material, equipment, and labor needs
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Troubleshoot issues and proactively resolve challenges in the field
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a carpenter in residential and/or commercial construction
Strong knowledge of construction methods, tools, and materials
Ability to perform a variety of trade-related tasks (“jack of all trades” mindset)
Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license preferred
Ability to lift, carry, and move construction materials as required
Salary: $25-28/hr based on experience
Shifts: 1st shift
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
