AUTOMOTIVE YARD WORKER

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Automotive Yard Worker to join our team. This position is responsible for organizing and maintaining the vehicle yard, moving vehicles safely, assisting with inventory, and ensuring the yard remains clean, organized, and efficient. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, is safety-conscious, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities
Move, park, and organize vehicles throughout the yard.
Assist with loading and unloading vehicles from transport trucks.
Inspect vehicles for damage and accurately document findings.
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe yard environment.
Perform routine lot checks and inventory verification.
Prepare vehicles for transport, auction, or customer pickup.
Install vehicle stickers, tags, and identification as required.
Keep vehicles properly lined up and stored in designated locations.
Operate company equipment safely and follow all workplace safety procedures.
Assist other departments with general yard and warehouse duties as needed.
Report damaged vehicles, equipment issues, or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications
Previous automotive, dealership, auction, salvage yard, or warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred.
Ability to safely operate automatic vehicles; manual transmission experience is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Basic knowledge of vehicles is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, climb, push, pull, and reach frequently.
Must be able to enter and exit vehicles repeatedly throughout the shift.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity.
Must be able to work around moving vehicles, heavy equipment, and machinery while maintaining a high level of safety awareness.
Must be able to work flexible schedules, including overtime and weekends when needed.
