Job Description
This position performs set-up of molds, and all related tasks in assigned manufacturing areas, as well as supporting other department functions as needed.
Demonstrates the ability to install and set-up molding tools with limited or no assistance.
Performs duties in a safe and timely manner, with a specific focus on respecting and protecting owned equipment.
Demonstrates the ability to transfer molds from location to location as required.
Demonstrates the ability to perform multiple tasks including, but not limited to, welding, machining, and grinding as needed.
Fits and installs nameplates in molds and fixtures.
Cleans molding machines, machine equipment, and molds.
Completes needed documentation for set ups required including but not limited to assignment sheets and nozzle torque sheets.
Set up molds in molding machine to include auxiliary equipment.
Responsible for installing multi-nozzles, clamps and ready rods.
Performs insert changes on vertical presses.
Diagnosis of thermocouples and heat related issues.
Follows electrical and hydraulic diagrams.
Installs hydraulic lines and electrical cords.
Rigging molds up to the capabilities of hoist equipment.
Performs all tasks in a timely manner with precision and accuracy.
Performs all other assignments as required.
