Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Box Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience operating box trucks, maintains a professional attitude with customers, and meets all DOT requirements—including holding a valid DOT medical card.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a box truck (typically 16–26 ft.) for pickups, deliveries, and scheduled routes
Load and unload freight using proper lifting techniques and equipment
Verify delivery documentation, obtain signatures, and ensure accurate recordkeeping
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT standards
Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned vehicle
Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members
Follow all company policies, traffic laws, and safety regulations
Required Qualifications
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Valid DOT medical card (required)
Minimum 1 year of box truck or commercial driving experience preferred
Ability to lift 50–75 lbs as needed
Strong time-management and customer-service skills
Must pass background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with local deliveries, logistics, or last-mile operations
Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
Forklift or pallet jack experience
