Key responsibilities
Physical and manual tasks: Loading and unloading materials, digging trenches, moving heavy objects, and assembling or disassembling structures like scaffolding.
Site and area maintenance: Cleaning and preparing work sites, clearing debris, and ensuring equipment and tools are clean and properly stored.
Equipment operation: Operating a variety of tools and basic machinery, which can include everything from hand tools to heavy equipment like jackhammers or pressure washers.
Assisting skilled workers: Collaborating with and supporting skilled tradespeople, such as carpenters, electricians, or plumbers.
Safety and compliance: Following all health and safety regulations, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining a safe work environment.
Following instructions: Understanding and following project plans, instructions from supervisors, and work orders.
Required skills and qualities
Physical strength and stamina: The ability to perform strenuous physical labor for long periods.
Attention to detail: Accurately following instructions and safety protocols.
Teamwork: Working effectively with a team to complete tasks.
Flexibility: The ability to adapt to different tasks and changing work situations.
