Job Description
Responsibilities
Operate bulldozers safely and efficiently to perform rough and finish grading.
Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, grading plans, and construction drawings.
Utilize GPS machine control systems and work from CAD-generated models to achieve precise elevations and grades.
Perform site preparation, clearing, cut/fill operations, road construction, and pad building.
Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform basic preventative maintenance.
Work closely with project managers, surveyors, and grade checkers to ensure project specifications are met.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following OSHA and company safety standards.
Identify and report equipment issues or jobsite hazards promptly.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of dozer operating experience in commercial, civil, or residential construction.
Experience using GPS machine control systems (Topcon, Trimble, Leica, or similar).
Ability to read and understand CAD-generated grading plans and construction drawings.
Strong understanding of grading, drainage, elevations, and earthwork.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding work.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating additional heavy equipment such as excavators, motor graders, loaders, or skid steers.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
