# Door Unloader / Construction General Laborer
Job Summary
HireQuest Direct is hiring reliable **Door Unloaders / Construction General Laborers** to support client projects at newly constructed apartment buildings.
Workers will unload doors and related materials from delivery trucks, carefully move them into the building, and distribute them to designated floors, units, or staging areas. This is a physically demanding construction assignment requiring dependable attendance, teamwork, and strict compliance with job-site safety requirements.
## Key Responsibilities
* Unload doors, frames, hardware, and related materials from delivery trucks.
* Carry and transport doors into newly constructed apartment buildings.
* Move materials to assigned units, floors, or staging locations.
* Protect doors and finished surfaces from damage during unloading and placement.
* Work closely with the delivery crew, site supervisor, and other laborers.
* Keep unloading and staging areas organized and free of hazards.
* Follow all Titan Door and general-contractor safety procedures.
* Report damaged materials, unsafe conditions, or job-site concerns immediately.
* Perform other construction-related material-handling duties as assigned.
## Qualifications
* Must be at least 18 years old.
* Previous construction, unloading, moving, warehouse, or material-handling experience is preferred.
* Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
* Reliable transportation to the assigned job site.
* Dependable attendance and ability to arrive on time.
* Comfortable working inside active construction sites.
* Ability to safely handle large, heavy, and awkward materials.
* Must understand that assignment length and hours may vary depending on delivery size and project needs.
## Full PPE Required
Workers must arrive prepared with:
* Hard hat
* High-visibility safety vest
* Safety glasses
* Work gloves
* Long work pants
* Work boots with protective toes
Workers who arrive without the required PPE may not be permitted to enter the job site.
## Physical Requirements
* Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, and maneuver heavy doors and construction materials.
* Ability to lift approximately **50–75 pounds**, with team lifting required for heavier items.
* Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb stairs, and carry materials for extended periods.
* Ability to work around construction equipment, uneven surfaces, stairs, and changing job-site conditions.
* Ability to maintain safe lifting and material-handling practices throughout the shift.
## Ideal Candidate
The ideal worker is punctual, physically capable, safety-conscious, and careful when handling finished doors and materials. Strong workers may be considered for additional Titan Door projects as they become available.
