Food Runner – Circuit of the Americas

Position: Food Runner
Event: High-Profile Catering Event Featuring Gordon Ramsay
We are hiring Food Runners to support a high-volume catering operation at Circuit of the Americas in Austin. This is an exciting opportunity to work behind the scenes at a major event supporting a premium food service operation featuring Gordon Ramsay.
Position Responsibilities
Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and service areas to designated event locations
Assist servers and culinary staff with fast, accurate food delivery
Carry trays, plates, and food-service items throughout the venue
Maintain clean and organized service areas
Communicate with kitchen, servers, and event staff to ensure timely service
Help restock food and service stations as needed
Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
Provide professional and courteous service throughout the event
Assist with breakdown and cleanup when needed
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding position.
The food service operation is spread across three floors, and Food Runners will be required to travel frequently between levels using stairs throughout the event.
Candidates should be comfortable:
Walking and standing for extended periods
Repeatedly climbing and descending stairs
Carrying trays, plates, and food-service items
Working at a fast pace during peak service periods
Working in a busy event environment
Performing continuous physical activity for the duration of the shift
Qualifications
Previous restaurant, catering, hospitality, or food-service experience preferred but not required
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Reliable and punctual
Professional appearance and attitude
Strong communication skills
Ability to follow directions in a fast-paced environment
Must be physically capable of performing the requirements of the position
What to Expect
This is an active, fast-paced event position. The runner role involves significant walking, carrying, and repeated stair climbing across three floors. Candidates should be prepared for a demanding shift and should be comfortable remaining on their feet and moving throughout the venue for extended periods.
