Certified Flagger – Traffic Control
Location: Austin, TX
Temporary Assignments Available
We are currently hiring a Certified Flagger to assist with traffic control operations on active job sites in the Austin area. This role is essential in maintaining safe work zones for crews and the traveling public.
Job Responsibilities:
Direct and control traffic flow around active construction and work zones
Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices as needed
Communicate clearly with crew members to ensure safe site operations
Monitor work zones for hazards and report issues immediately
Follow all safety protocols and site-specific instructions
Assist with general site safety awareness as directed
Requirements:
Must be a Certified Flagger (or willing to obtain certification if applicable)
Must wear work-appropriate jeans with no rips or tears
Must be able to follow directions and maintain focus in high-traffic environments
Reliable transportation to various job sites required
Ability to stand for extended periods in outdoor conditions
Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
Steel Toe Boots
High-Visibility Safety Vest
Hard Hat
Work Gloves
Safety Glasses
Additional Requirements:
Bring plenty of water for hydration
Must wear sunscreen and be prepared for extended outdoor exposure
Ability to work in heat, sun, and varying weather conditions
