Material Handler

Job Summary: The Material Handler Technician is responsible for efficiently handling, storing, and moving materials within the facility. This role involves receiving, stocking, and preparing materials for production or shipment while ensuring safety and quality standards compliance. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of performing physical tasks. Key Responsibilities:
-Receive incoming materials and verify their accuracy against shipping documents.-Inspect materials for damage or defects and report any issues to the supervisor.-Sort, organize, and store materials in designated locations within the warehouse.-Prepare materials for production by gathering and staging items according to work orders.-Use pallet jacks to move materials safely.-Must maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular inventory counts.-Follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.-Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure timely material flow.-Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area.
Qualifications:
-A high school diploma or equivalent.-Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is a plus.-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.-Ability to lift heavy objects (up to [specify weight, e.g., 50 lbs.]) and perform physical tasks.-Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
-Experience with barcode scanning and inventory management software and Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.
